Business Challenge

Kauffman Gas—a family-owned and operated propane company—had a small, outdated website that offered a few pages of information about their services. The Kauffman family hired Bright Orange Thread about creating a more dynamic website with a focus on their customers' needs. To accomplish this, Kauffman Gas needed a website with:

  • Online bill payment.
  • Customer account management.
  • Clearer site structure.
  • Stronger, more compelling copy.

Our Solution

  • We implemented an online payment service on Kauffman Gas's site, and featured it by making it accesible on all pages of the site.
  • Created a "Customer Corner" where customers can request their account balance, update account information, as well as pay their bill.
  • Brand new copy with stronger messaging accompanies the site's modern design.
  • Displayed a service area map on the home page so prospects can quickly determine if they are within Kauffman Gas's service range.

Impact

The new "Pay Bill Online" function significantly enhances the payment process for both customers and Kauffman Gas employees. Over-the-phone inquiries to employees are reduced, as visitors can easily browse and read the site's featured information.
