Confusing copy on My FoodChain’s homepage did not prove the site’s relevance to users. My FoodChain’s unclear copy was not “sticky” enough to hook users and left the burden on the design.
For My FoodChain, the bold red background color also confused users and many interpreted it to be a negative. Bold design decisions can hurt your homepage bounce rate. In this case, it created more confusion about what the company does and overpowered the homepage message.
