About Bright Orange Thread

Bright Orange Thread is a small inbound marketing and website design agency with a big production output.

We design and manage digital campaigns for clients that deliver measurable ROI for their marketing dollars. We are looking for an email marketing and web copywriter to help write compelling copy that inspires users to take action in email, social media, and web pages.

What You’ll Do:

  • Marketing Writing: Create marketing momentum through email campaigns, blogs, social media content and more. Write emails with great subject lines, blog posts that open with story, and social media posts that stop the scroll.
  • Project Coordination: Assist with project organization, tracking deadlines, and ensuring smooth communication between team members and clients.
  • Client Service: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and handle correspondence.
  • Document Management: Maintain organized and accessible files.
  • Content Updates: Make minor updates to webpages and emails using content management systems, email marketing platforms, and marketing automation tools.

What you will bring:

  • A sharp eye for detail and an innate ability to spot gaps or inefficiencies.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills to succeed in a remote-first environment.
  • A proactive, self-driven approach to work, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Editing and proofreading skills 
  • 0-2 years of experience building and managing email marketing campaigns

How your first 1-2 years will progress…

Start as a Marketing Admin & Developing Writer: You will immerse yourself in our processes, tools, and team, learning the foundations of our content creation and marketing administration. You’ll begin by assisting with content updates, managing calendars, and crafting initial email campaigns and social media posts under guidance, honing your foundational writing style and organizational skills.

Evolve Your Expertise: As you grow in your skills and become even better at your job, your role will naturally evolve. Depending on your strengths and where you excel, your duties may lean more towards Project Coordination, taking on greater responsibility for project organization, deadlines, and team communication, or you might deepen your expertise as an Email Marketer and Web Copywriter, focusing on more advanced content strategy and conversion-driven writing.

Other details:

  • Today, we're fully remote. But we were remote before remote was cool—even when some of us were in the Landenberg Headquarters, others worked in NYC, Lancaster, or Newark.
  • Daily meeting at noon, Eastern Time. Otherwise flexible hours between our core hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm. We strongly prefer candidates living in the Eastern and Central time zones.
