2 Questions We Always Ask
Hello, hello. This is Hendrik-Jan from Bright Orange Thread. And I want to share with you the two questions we always ask when a new request comes in.
Who is it for?
Clients come in asking for a blog post to send out an email. Hey, what about this social media post we should do? And any time that request comes in we ask two questions. And the first one is, "who is it for?"
We want to make sure that the content is going out to the people our client need to talk to.
Often, they have lots of great information to share but some of it is not really the most relevant to the target audience, to the buyers, to their clients. So we double check that.
What do you want them to do next?
The second thing we always ask is, what do you want them to do next? So when a prospect, somebody has read a blog post, they've received an email, we could simply sign off and be done. But instead,

- what's the next thing we want them to do?
- how do we help them out down their path in terms of solving their challenges, solving their problems?
The idea of that is that we're helping people by giving away some information and then we're encouraging them to take the next step instead of having to figure out the next step on their own. We just guide them along.
So we need a call to action at the end of the blog post. We need a call to action in the email. We need a button to click on that says, hey, get this white paper.
